This commitment is realized through outreach and awareness campaigns regarding the dangers of online gambling, gratification, and bribery in the workplace, featuring speakers from the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office.
This activity presented the Head of Legal Information and Public Relations of the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office, Ricky Ramadhan, and the Head of Section II for Intelligence, Andres Suprianus, who provided an understanding of the legal risks, social impacts, and consequences of online gambling practices, gratuities, and bribery, especially in the work and corporate environments of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
The Head of Legal Information and Public Relations for the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office, Ricky Ramadhan, stated that legal education regarding the dangers of online gambling, bribery, and bribery is a crucial step in raising legal awareness and developing employees with integrity. He believes that understanding the law must be accompanied by a commitment and courage to reject any actions that could potentially violate the law or conflict with ethical values.
"Online gambling not only has the potential to cause financial loss, but can also impact a person's personal life, family harmony, and productivity. Meanwhile, bribery and gratification practices that violate legal provisions can damage integrity, harm public trust, and result in legal consequences for the parties involved. Therefore, we hope that through this outreach activity, all Pelindo Regional 2 employees will increasingly understand the importance of obeying the law, maintaining integrity, and having the courage to reject any form of practice that violates regulations. Integrity must be a principle in every decision-making and in carrying out responsibilities," said Ricky Ramadhan.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang, represented by Business Compliance Manager Weriyanto Febriyadi, said that this activity is part of the company's ongoing efforts to instill integrity values while strengthening the implementation of good corporate governance principles across all lines of the organization.
"Integrity is the primary foundation for running a professional and sustainable port business. As a state-owned enterprise (BUMN), every Pelindo employee has a responsibility to maintain the trust of the state, the public, service users, and all partners. Therefore, we do not condone bribery, gratification contrary to regulations, or other behavior that could damage the company's integrity and credibility," said Weriyanto Febriyadi.
In their presentations, the speakers emphasized the importance of raising awareness among every company employee to avoid behavior that is contrary to law and ethics, while also understanding their respective roles in maintaining integrity and preventing potential violations in the work environment.
In the port sector, the implementation of integrity is crucial given that port operations involve various stakeholders, from service users, business partners, shipping companies, to government agencies and other maritime entities. These interactions require every company employee to carry out their duties transparently, objectively, and accountably, while avoiding any form of conflict of interest or abuse of authority. Furthermore, online gambling practices are a concern because they can cause financial problems, disrupt concentration, reduce productivity, and potentially impact decision-making and workplace safety. Meanwhile, gratuities and bribery can undermine objectivity in decision-making, harm user trust, and pose legal and reputational risks for the company.
Weriyanto also emphasized that awareness of the dangers of online gambling, bribery, and bribery must be demonstrated through concrete actions in daily life, both at work and outside of work. "We want to ensure that integrity is not just a slogan, but truly becomes a culture embedded in every task. All employees must have the courage to refuse any form of inappropriate gifts, avoid conflicts of interest, and maintain professionalism in providing services to customers. On the other hand, we also need to raise awareness to stay away from online gambling because its impact can be detrimental to individuals, their families, and the work environment," he added.
The event continued with the signing of a joint commitment by all participants. This signing symbolized a shared understanding and determination to reject online gambling, prevent bribery and gratification practices that violate regulations, and always uphold the values of integrity in carrying out duties and responsibilities.
