BANDAR LAMPUNG (ISL News) - Panjang Port operations remain normal amid the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau. As of September 5, 2020, all port services are operating as usual in accordance with established procedures.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang, Hardianto, ensured that services to service users and loading and unloading activities would continue as usual, while prioritizing the principles of safety and preparedness in facing any developments in conditions in the field.
"We are ensuring that services continue and prioritizing safety and security. We have instructed all our field workers to wear masks and goggles to protect themselves from volcanic ash exposure," explained Hardianto.
Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang continues to monitor the activity of Mount Anak Krakatau and the environmental conditions surrounding the port's operational area. This step is being taken to ensure safety, security, and smooth operations.
All workers and related parties in the Panjang Port environment are also urged to remain vigilant and comply with established safety and security procedures.
