JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - The management of IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) received a courtesy visit from a delegation from the Madagascar Government accompanied by a team from the National Single Window (LNSW) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia at the Integrated Planning & Control Room, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta on Thursday (30/07/20926).

This working visit aimed to directly review the digital-based port operational system implemented by IPC TPK. In addition to being a forum for sharing knowledge regarding the simplification of logistics services, this strategic meeting also aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Indonesia and Madagascar, which have been strong for many years.

"This visit is a good momentum for IPC TPK to demonstrate how the implementation of the Integrated Planning & Control Room is able to modernize loading and unloading services in real-time and efficiently," said Yanuar Evyanto, Acting Director of Commercial & Business Development of IPC TPK.

During the visit, the Madagascan delegation witnessed firsthand the visualization of the planning and control process for ship and container services, all of which are controlled centrally. The synergy between the port modernization carried out by IPC TPK and the system developed by LNSW has proven to be able to reduce dwelling time and increase the transparency of goods flow in the terminal.

The application of this technology attracted significant attention from the Madagascar delegation, which is currently intensively reforming port governance and digitizing international trade in its country to spur national economic growth. Facilitated by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance's LNSW, the transfer of expertise in single window management and container terminal operations is expected to realize the economic potential in the Indian Ocean region.

The visit was attended by the Board of Directors of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), Pelindo Regional 2 management, and IPC TPK management. On this occasion, the IPC TPK operations team explained the company profile of the Pelindo Group and the container terminal operators operating at Tanjung Priok Port. Next, the Madagascar delegation and the LNSW team were invited to observe the functions operating in the Integrated Planning & Control Room, ranging from Marine Service, Multipurpose, Container Terminal, to Traffic & Safety Control.

"We hope that this digitalization system integrated with the LNSW ecosystem can be a valuable reference for the development of the logistics system in Madagascar, while also opening up opportunities for broader collaboration in the maritime sectors of both countries," concluded Yanuar.
