PALEMBANG (ISL News) - Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang received an audience visit from PT BGR Logistik Indonesia together with PT Perkebunan Nusantara I (PTPN I) in order to discuss the plan to export PalmCo Crude Palm Oil (CPO) through the Boom Baru Port of Palembang.
The meeting, held at the Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang office, served as an initial coordination forum to synergize operational needs, port facility readiness, and logistics support services required to support smooth CPO export activities. The meeting also discussed potential collaboration to create a more efficient, secure, and competitive supply chain.
Present at the audience were Acting General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, Management of PT BGR Logistik Indonesia and PT Perkebunan Nusantara 1 Regional 7, Branch Manager of PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Palembang Branch, General Manager of Logistics Regional 1 PT Multi Terminal Indonesia and PT IPC Terminal Petikemas Palembang Area.
Acting General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, Darmawi, stated that Pelindo is committed to supporting the growth of the national export sector by providing reliable and integrated port services.
"Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang is ready to provide support for PalmCo's CPO export plans by ensuring the readiness of facilities, operational services, and coordination with all stakeholders so that the logistics process runs smoothly, effectively, and in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.
During the hearing, the two parties also discussed operational schemes, loading and unloading facility requirements, ship scheduling, and opportunities to optimize the utilization of port infrastructure as a gateway for exporting South Sumatra's leading commodities.
As a port operator, Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang continues to foster collaboration with various strategic partners to improve national logistics connectivity. Synergy with PT BGR Logistik Indonesia and PT PTPN I is expected to strengthen the logistics ecosystem, increase distribution efficiency, and contribute to improving Indonesia's export performance, particularly for palm oil.
Through ongoing coordination, Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang supports PalmCo's CPO export plan to be realized with the support of excellent port services, so as to provide added value for service users while simultaneously encouraging regional and national economic growth.
