IPCC Remains Focused on Operational Performance Amid Weakening Market Conditions in Q2 2026

JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX: IPCC), the largest vehicle terminal operator in Indonesia under the auspices of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, has proven that digitalization-based operational transformation is not just a slogan, but a real growth driver and delivers results on operational performance until the second quarter of 2026.

The Jakarta Branch and five IPCC Satellite Terminals recorded a consolidated operational performance growth of 13.86% for CBU (passenger vehicles), heavy equipment, buses, and trucks, equivalent to an increase of 74,886 units year-on-year. Total ship calls across all IPCC terminals as of June 2026 reached 1,901 ships handled, a significant growth of 18.37% compared to 1,606 ship calls in the same period in 2025, reflecting the efficiency and reliability of operational services that are increasingly digitalized and responsive to service user needs.

The IPCC's commitment to strict and structured corporate governance is clearly reflected in the consistent growth across nearly all cargo segments. Consolidated CBU (Completely Built-Up) volume as of June 2026 was recorded at 446,406 units, a 4.98% increase, or 21,178 units, compared to the same period last year. The truck and bus segment experienced the fastest growth, at 53.52%, with loading and unloading volume reaching 152,078 units, a 53,018 unit increase year-on-year.

The heavy equipment segment also recorded steady growth of 4.35%, from 15,872 units to 16,562 units. This balanced growth across segments is a clear testament to the effectiveness of the operational control and capacity management systems consistently implemented by all levels of IPCC Management.

However, this consolidated operational performance growth needs to be viewed in a balanced manner. The increase in IPCC cargo traffic on a consolidated basis was primarily supported by increased domestic cargo traffic, while global cargo traffic, or imports, actually showed a downward trend, in line with the slowdown in global demand for imported vehicles.

This condition also affected the performance of the Jakarta Branch, which separately recorded corrections in both operational and financial aspects, in line with global geopolitical dynamics and the slowdown in market demand for vehicles produced in Indonesia and imported vehicles as a whole.

This significance is noteworthy, given that the Jakarta Branch accounts for approximately 87% of IPCC's total cargo, while the remaining 13% comes from the five Satellite Terminals. The differences in tariff size and composition between the Jakarta Branch and the Satellite Terminals also contribute to IPCC's consolidated revenue. Although the Satellite Terminals' operational performance grew significantly by 38.1%, this achievement was not enough to offset the pressure the Jakarta Branch experienced on the company's consolidated revenue, given the differences in scale and tariff structure between the two.

Management views these dynamics as part of temporary external challenges, and will continue to strengthen risk mitigation strategies and diversify growth sources across the terminal network.

IPCC's solid performance is also in line with the positive recovery of the national automotive industry. GAIKINDO data recorded that the total national wholesales for CBU cargo from January to June 2026 reached 398,662 units, up 14.34% compared to the same period in 2025. Concurrently, the number of CBU export cargo served by IPCC increased 11.78% to a total of 191,199 units, with Vietnam being the largest export destination. This confirms that measured and adaptive governance has positioned IPCC as a reliable strategic partner in the national automotive ecosystem, a link in the global automotive logistics chain, and a solid foundation for the company to maintain sustainable operational growth momentum amidst global market challenges.

"The trust placed in us by all our service users is our greatest motivation to continue moving forward and providing wholehearted service. The growth in operational performance from January to June 2026 reflects the commitment of all IPCC personnel to providing increasingly fast, reliable, and internationally standardized vehicle terminal services. We also recognize that the dynamics of domestic and global traffic, including the pressures experienced by the Jakarta Branch due to geopolitical conditions and market slowdowns, are real challenges that we must carefully manage. Therefore, we continue to encourage technology-based service transformation, strengthen the efficiency of cargo handling processes, and develop a Satellite Terminal network so that IPCC's growth is more equitable and sustainable. Going forward, we strive for IPCC's performance to continue to exceed or match last year's achievements, as we prepare to welcome the growing flow of electric and hybrid vehicles that increasingly dominate Indonesia's automotive export-import activities," said Bagus Dwipoyono, Director of Operations and Engineering and Acting President Director of IPCC.

With a stronger operational foundation and a growing national automotive industry ecosystem, IPCC is optimistic that it will be able to close 2026 with competitive and sustainable performance. The company will continue to focus all its energy and resources on improving the quality of service that is truly felt by service users at every terminal operational point, both at the Jakarta Branch and the Satellite Terminal network. "We are here not only to record growth figures, but to ensure that every service user experiences real value from our services, and that is the standard we will continue to pursue until the end of this year and beyond," concluded Bagus.
