JAKARTA (ISL News) – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Panjang officially launched its new QCC 004. Based on a technical inspection, the QCC 004 was declared operationally fit for its intended capacity. The inaugural operation ceremony was held on July 2, 2026, at Panjang Port.
"This facility upgrade is our proactive response to the dynamics of the ever-increasing flow of goods in the Lampung region and its surroundings," said Yanuar Evyanto, Acting Director of Commercial and Business Development at IPC TPK.
The presence of the QCC 004 contributes to increased service capacity at the logistics gateway to Southern Sumatra. The QCC 004 is a Post-Panamax vessel with a 45-meter outreach and a capacity of 16 to 17 rows of containers. These specifications allow the port to serve larger vessels more efficiently.
The inauguration of QCC 004 was attended by various stakeholders, including the Panjang Class I KSOP Office, the Bandar Lampung TMP B Customs and Excise Office, the Agricultural Quarantine Office, port and logistics associations, service users, and Pelindo's work partners.
"We hope that this equipment modernization will not only boost our terminal's throughput capacity but also strengthen synergy with all stakeholders in creating a reliable and globally competitive port ecosystem," Yanuar concluded.
