SURABAYA (ISL News) - To celebrate Eid al-Adha 1447 H, Pelindo Regional 3 has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing tangible benefits to the community by distributing sacrificial animals (Hewan Qurban) across its various operational areas. This year, Pelindo Regional 3 distributed 209 sacrificial animals to the community, particularly those within the port's operational ring 1 area.
Hundreds of sacrificial animals were distributed in stages from May 25-27 to mosques, prayer rooms, Islamic boarding schools, social foundations, and community groups around the port to be slaughtered and distributed independently to residents in need.
Pelindo 3 Executive Director, Daru Wicaksono Julianto, said that the distribution of sacrificial animals is part of Pelindo's commitment to continue to be present and provide a positive impact on the communities around the company's operational areas.
"The Eid al-Adha momentum reminds us to continue sharing and strengthening harmonious relationships with the community. Pelindo is not only focused on port services but is also committed to growing alongside the surrounding community through various social programs that directly benefit the community," said Daru.
He added that the distribution of sacrificial animals was carried out evenly in the Pelindo Regional 3 work area so that the benefits could be felt more widely by the community.
Sudarman, the administrator of the Baitul Hakam Tanjung Perak Mosque in Surabaya, also expressed his appreciation for the assistance. He stated that the sacrificial animals provided by Pelindo have been very helpful to the local community and demonstrate the company's commitment to the community, directly felt by the residents.
"We appreciate and are grateful for the sacrificial animal assistance from Pelindo Regional 3. This assistance is very beneficial for the surrounding community, especially those in need. We hope Pelindo continues to progress and benefit the surrounding environment," said Sudarman.
