PALEMBANG (ISL News) - Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Suntana and Commissioner, Mr. Arief Poyuono of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) conducted a working visit to Sungai Lais Port managed by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Palembang as part of the monitoring and evaluation efforts for operational performance and port development plans.
This visit was conducted to ensure that port management is running optimally, in line with the company's target of improving efficient, safe, and competitive port services.
In the agenda, the commissioners conducted a direct review of operational facilities, port infrastructure, and an overview of the performance of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang.
In addition, the board of commissioners also received a presentation from the General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, Nunu Husnul Khitam regarding operational performance, company achievements, and future development plans for Sungai Lais Port.
The ongoing discussion highlighted various opportunities for improving services, operational efficiency, and strengthening the role of ports in supporting logistics connectivity in the South Sumatra region.
Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang management expressed its commitment to continued transformation and innovation to improve service quality and support regional economic growth. This visit is expected to provide strategic direction and strengthen oversight to drive sustainable company performance.
Also present during the visit were the leaders of the subsidiaries & grandchildren of the Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang Company, including, Area Manager of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim Area Sumatra 4, General Manager of PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk Area IV Palembang, Area Manager of PT IPC Container Terminal Palembang Area, Branch Manager of PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Palembang Branch, General Manager of PT Multi Terminal Indonesia Regional 3 Palembang and Palembang Site Manager of PT Berkah Industri Mesin Gantung.
Through the synergy between the Board of Commissioners and the management of Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang, Sungai Lais Port is expected to become an increasingly competitive logistics hub and contribute significantly to the development of the national maritime sector.
