JAMBI (ISL News 08 April 2026) - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) Jambi Branch continues to be committed to improving the quality of service in loading and unloading activities. One of these efforts was carried out by PTP Nonpetikemas Jambi Branch by collaborating with PT Cemindo Gemilang to handle the unloading of Jumbo Bag Cement Bag Cargo commodities at Talang Duku Port since January 2020. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the flow of cement distribution in Jambi.
As an energy logistics hub, PTP Non-Container's Jambi Branch serves cement carriers with specialized infrastructure, including a dock and mobile cranes that meet national safety standards. This increased service capacity aims to ensure a stable cement supply to meet the needs of industry and other business sectors.
PTP Non-container Branch Manager for Jambi Branch, Romi Hasbeni, said that this collaboration is believed to help meet industrial needs in Jambi, especially in terms of smoother and safer cement distribution, as well as strengthening connectivity between industrial sectors, thereby providing long-term benefits for the regional economy.
"We are committed to supporting the growing industrial activities in Jambi, and this collaboration with PT Cemindo Gemilang Tbk is expected to improve the efficiency of goods distribution and accelerate the logistics process, which in turn will strengthen the competitiveness of the industrial sector in this region," Romi explained.
Romi Hasbeni, Branch Manager of PTP Nonpetikemas Jambi Branch, added that this cement handling has the potential to generate a throughput of 360,000 tons per year. With a truck-lossing operation that goes directly to PT Cemindo Gemilang Tbk's warehouse, loading and unloading activities are easier and faster.
Since January 2020, the total throughput of this activity has reached 1,800,000 tons, with a monthly average of around 30,000 tons," Romi added.
PT Cemindo Gemilang Tbk, a leading premium cement producer in Indonesia, established in 2011 and known for its "Semen Merah Putih" trademark, is accepting unloading services at Talang Duku Port, specifically for cement unloading. This collaboration is expected to help meet industrial needs in Jambi.
