The PLP Kelas 1 Tanjung Priok Deploys 8 KPLP Patrol Boats and 2 Fast RIBs to Strengthen Surveillance and Security of Sea Transportation for the Mudik Lebaran Iedul Fitri 2026

JAKARTA (ISL News, March 2026) – In order to support the smooth running, safety, and security of the 2026/1447 H Iedul Fitri,  the PLP Kelas 1 Tanjung Priok, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Ministry of Transportation is carrying out intensive supervision and security in a number of strategic water areas which are the main routes for sea transportation during the Eid homecoming and return flow.
 

Head of the PLP Kelas 1 Tanjung Priok, Fourmansyah, SH, MM, MH, said that readiness for sea transportation supervision during this year's Iedul Fitri has been prepared comprehensively through the preparation of patrol vessels, human resources, operational logistics, cross-agency coordination, and mitigation of potential emergencies at sea and others.


"To oversee and secure the 2026 Iedul Fitri , we are deploying KPLP patrol vessels and fast RIBs to strengthen patrols and surveillance in several waters that are busy shipping routes during the homecoming and return flow periods," he said.


The fleet elements deployed along with the monitoring locations include:

Jakarta Bay area to the Thousand Islands, KPLP Patrol Boats: KN. Damaru – P.214, KN. Celurit – P.203, KN. Golok – P.206 and RIB KPLP, RIB SAR 1 KPLP, RIB SAR 2 KPLP.

These elements carry out shipping safety and security patrols in the Jakarta Bay area, Tanjung Priok Port, and the waters of the Seribu Islands.

Sunda Strait Waters (Merak – Banten to Bakauheni – Lampung) KPLP Patrol Vessels: KN. Kujang – P.201, KN. Trisula – P.111, KN. Jembio – P.215 and KN. Alugara – P.114.



The patrol ship monitored shipping routes and secured crossing activities on the busy Merak-Bakauheni route during the Eid homecoming and return flow period.


Semarang Waters to Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan KPLP Patrol Vessel: KN. Alugara – P.114


This patrol ship carries out safety and security patrols on shipping routes from the Java Sea to the Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan regions.


The supervision carried out by PLP is not only focused on monitoring and securing the homecoming and return flows, but also includes several main targets, including:
* maintaining the safety and security of shipping;
* facilitating the homecoming and return flows of sea transportation;
* supervising shipping safety facilities, including navigation lights;
* and supporting law enforcement against violations and crimes in the shipping sector.


With this preparation, it is hoped that the 2026 Eid al-Fitr sea transportation will run safely, orderly, and smoothly, so that people can travel home comfortably and safely to their destinations.


On that occasion, the Head of the PLP Kelas 1 Tanjung Priok also appealed to the public traveling home by sea to comply with shipping regulations, follow the instructions of officers, and maintain order during the trip to support shipping safety and security during the Eid homecoming period.
