JAKARTA (ISL News) – Behind the smooth flow of logistics at the port, field workers and the surrounding community play a crucial role in keeping port operations running. As a token of their concern, IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) is taking advantage of Ramadan to share by distributing 1,730 basic food packages through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
This assistance was provided to various groups that play a role in supporting port activities, including stevedoring workers (TKBM), cleaning staff, port security personnel, and local communities in need in the IPC TPK operational area.
The distribution of assistance was carried out in stages across a number of the company's operational areas, with a symbolic handover in the Tanjung Priok Area by the Director of Finance, HR & Risk Management of IPC TPK to representatives of beneficiaries as a form of appreciation for their contribution in maintaining the smooth running of port activities.
Each food package contains various basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, instant noodles, coffee, tea, butter, and biscuits which are expected to help meet family needs and ease the burden on beneficiaries in carrying out fasting during the month of Ramadan.
IPC TPK Corporate Secretary, Pramestie Wulandary, said that this program is part of the company's commitment to continue providing benefits to workers and communities around the port.
"The smooth operation of port activities is inseparable from the role of many parties, from workers in the field to the surrounding community. Through this Ramadan momentum, we want to share as a form of appreciation for their contributions and help ease the needs of families during the fasting month," said Pramestie.
One of the dock workers (TKBM) in the Tanjung Priok area also expressed his gratitude for the assistance. He said that the basic food packages he received were very helpful in meeting his family's needs during Ramadan.
Through this TJSL program, IPC TPK hopes that the company's presence will not only contribute to the smooth flow of national logistics but also have a sustainable social impact on the community. This program is in line with the company's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in efforts to alleviate poverty and strengthen community welfare, while also reflecting the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by providing inclusive benefits to various recipient groups around the company's operational area.
