PALEMBANG (ISL News, March 31, 2026) – The Head of the Class I Palembang Harbormaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP) officially held the Closing Ceremony for the Eid al-Fitr Sea Transportation Post in 1447 H / 2026 M which took place at the Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang Parking Lot.
This activity marks the end of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr Sea Transportation Post period which has been running during the homecoming and return flows, as a form of commitment to ensuring smooth, safe, and comfortable services to service users.
The closing ceremony was led by the KSOP Class I Palembang, First Admiral TNI Idham Faca, ST, MM, M.Tr.Opsla. who acted as the Inspector of the Ceremony, and was attended by the General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang represented by the Commercial Manager along with Port stakeholders including the Head of the Class I Palembang Navigation District, DANLANAL Palembang, Head of BASARNAS Palembang, Class I Palembang Health Quarantine Center, Head of the South Sumatra Land Transportation Management Center, Head of BMKG Palembang, Class I Palembang Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center, Kasatpolairud Polrestabes Palembang, South Sumatra Provincial Transportation Agency, Boom Baru Port Area Police Sector, Port TKBM Cooperative, Palembang River, Lake and Ferry Transportation Polytechnic, Port Services Association, Ship Operators, Leaders of Subsidiaries and Grandchildren of Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang Companies, Head of UPP Sungai Lumpur, and other Structural Officials.
The Head of KSOP Class I Palembang in his remarks said, "The success of this post is the result of synergy and collaboration of all parties, so that transportation services during the homecoming and return flows run orderly, smoothly, and under control. In general, the implementation of the 2026 Eid Transportation in South Sumatra Province, coordinated by KSOP Class I Palembang as the person in charge of the integrated cross-modal post, ran safely and successfully, with the dynamics of passenger movement in each sector remaining well managed. This achievement is expected to motivate us to continue improving the quality of service in the future, accompanied by continuous evaluation. During the post's operation, operations at the Boom Baru Port Passenger Terminal ran smoothly, orderly, and under control.
