JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News, March 26, 2026) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo), or Pelindo, along with several port stakeholders, held a Coordination Meeting on Traffic Management after the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta. This activity aims to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles and logistics distribution after the Arus Mudik and Arus Balik (Return) of Lebaran Iedul Fitri period.

The coordination meeting involved various relevant agencies, including port authorities, police, local governments, terminal operators, and service users, to coordinate strategic steps in traffic management in the port area and surrounding areas.

Pelindo Deputy President Director, Drajat Sulistyo, stated that the post-mudik phase is a crucial period that requires serious attention, especially in maintaining a balance between the flow of logistics vehicles and general traffic.

"After Eid al-Fitr, port activity will increase again as industrial and logistics activities normalize. Therefore, integrated and collaborative traffic management is needed to ensure the smooth flow of goods without causing congestion in the port area," said Drajat.

He emphasized that Tanjung Priok, as the main national logistics hub, has a strategic role in ensuring the smooth distribution of goods, so any potential obstacles must be anticipated together.

The meeting discussed several strengthening measures, including optimizing the flow of vehicles entering and leaving the port, adjusting terminal operational patterns, and improving field coordination between all relevant parties. Pelindo also encouraged the use of digital systems and time-based regulations to avoid vehicle congestion at crucial points and ensure efficient loading and unloading activities.

"The principle we're promoting is collaboration. Traffic management in port areas cannot be done in isolation; it must involve all stakeholders, from regulators and operators to service users," he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tanjung Priok Main KSOP, Capt. Heru Susanto, explained that his party has prepared a number of operational control measures to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles and logistics activities after Eid.

According to him, the strategies implemented include gradually controlling the daily active gate pass quota, synchronizing between terminals, and arranging ship berthing schedules to prevent congestion in the port area.

"We are implementing these arrangements in a measured and gradual manner, while maintaining a balance between smooth logistics distribution and traffic conditions in the port area," Heru explained.

In addition, coordination between terminal operators is also being strengthened to ensure that the flow of vehicles entering and leaving the port runs smoothly and under control.
