PALEMBANG (ISL News, February 6, 2026) – In commemoration of the 2026 National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Service Month, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Palembang once again held a series of social and health activities in the form of blood donation, healthy group exercise, and free health checks. This activity was held in the work environment of Boom Baru Port Palembang as a manifestation of the company's commitment to building a healthy, safe, and productive work culture.
The activity was attended by various stakeholders in the Palembang port environment, including the Palembang Class I Harbormaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP), Palembang Class I Navigation District, Palembang Navy Base (LANAL), Palembang City Police Water Police Unit, Palembang Class I Health Quarantine Center, Palembang Port Area Police Sector, Palembang TMP B Customs and Excise Office, Palembang Port Hospital, Palembang TKBM Cooperative, and Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang Subsidiaries & Grandchildren.
The series of activities began with group exercise to improve physical fitness and foster a spirit of togetherness between agencies. This was followed by a blood drive in collaboration with professional medical personnel from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Palembang City Blood Transfusion Unit, as well as free health checks in collaboration with Palembang Harbor Hospital, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as basic health consultations for participants.
The General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, represented by the Business Compliance Manager, Iwan Sanjaya, stated, "We would like to express our gratitude for the support and participation of all stakeholders and partners in making this event a success and enlivening it. Through blood donation, healthy exercise, and free health checks, we want to emphasize that the health and safety of port personnel is a top priority, as well as a form of social care for others."
This activity is part of the implementation of K3 values, which focus not only on occupational safety but also on health and social awareness. It is hoped that this activity will raise awareness among all port personnel about the importance of maintaining health, strengthen cross-agency synergy, and support the creation of a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
The 2026 National Occupational Safety and Health Service Month commemoration at Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang will continue to be filled with various positive and educational activities as a form of the company's commitment to supporting the national occupational safety and health program.
