MAKASSAR (ISL News, February 18, 2026) – PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM) Group, a subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which operates in the fields of Marine, Equipment, Port Services, Dredging and Shipyard (MEPS) demonstrates the company's highest commitment to Occupational Safety and Health (K3) aspects by creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment in all operational areas, thus successfully achieving the Zero Fatality predicate during the 2025 period.
Zero fatality itself is very important for companies to implement because it involves a high level of safety and requires consistency between culture, performance, and K3 communication across all lines of the company.
SPJM, as a company engaged in a high-risk industry, successfully achieved a total of 19,347,232 service hours with zero fatality status during the 2025 period and received an award from PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) as the Holding. The award was presented by the Group Head of K3 and Management Systems of PT Pelindo to SPJM management at a Safety Forum attended by representatives of Pelindo Group entities.
"This achievement is not just a number but a manifestation of our ongoing efforts to improve services and also the consistency of K3L implementation by all SPJM Group employees across all lines of the Company so that it not only creates awareness but also makes K3 a culture in working to provide services to service users," said Tubagus Patrick, SVP Corporate Secretary of SPJM.
This achievement is the result of SPJM Group's ongoing efforts in strengthening the implementation of the K3 program as part of the commitment to achieve Zero Accident (Fatality) . Prevention efforts are carried out through increasing safety awareness to all workers and external parties, accompanied by top management commitment through routine management walkthrough agendas , and increasing competency and fulfillment of K3 facilities and infrastructure, as well as optimizing emergency preparedness through basic life support training and safety drills as concrete steps in building a consistent safety culture.
Risk control is also strengthened through the preparation of risk registers (IBPR and HRA) in all work units.
