BANTEN INDONESIA (ISL News, February 26, 2026) – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Banten facilitated the smooth export of the first Wind Mill Tower belonging to PT Kenertec Power System to Canada via Pier 05A of Ciwandan Port on February 16, 2026. The delivery of the wind turbine tower components is proof of the capacity of Ciwandan Port as a reliable logistics node for handling oversized cargo.
This first export has strategic value in supporting the national renewable energy industry's penetration into the global market. Due to its specific dimensions and weight, the loading and unloading process requires high operational standards, from stacking area layout and securing lifting points to heavy equipment reliability and the implementation of international-standard operational safety standards.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, said that this success is proof of Ciwandan Port's readiness to handle special-dimension cargo for international-scale projects.
"The successful docking and loading of cargo for a project as large as the Wind Mill Tower confirms the readiness of Ciwandan Port's facilities and infrastructure to handle massive general cargo. This demonstrates Pelindo's full support for the growth of the national industry, particularly in the green energy sector, to increase its competitiveness in the global market," said Benny Ariadi.
Benny also added that this achievement cannot be separated from the solid collaboration between Pelindo Regional 2 Banten as the area manager and the Subholding of PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) Banten Branch as the terminal operator, as well as full support from the Banten Class I KSOP agency, Customs, shipping companies, and all related stakeholders.
Furthermore, Benny emphasized that Pelindo Regional 2 Banten never compromises on safety. All cargo handling processes are strictly monitored, implementing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) principles to ensure zero accidents and protect the port's surrounding environment.
