PANJANG LAMPUNG (ISL News) -  Last Friday, January 23, 2026, Panjang Port, Lampung, started the year by presenting a new face to the  Integrated Planning & Control function  as part of ongoing efforts to standardize port facilities and services.

This transformation is a strategic step to encourage increased time efficiency, planning accuracy, and overall terminal operational performance.

The inauguration  of Integrated Planning & Control  was held on Wednesday (21/01). The event was attended by Hot Marojahan Hutapea as Head of the Harbormaster and Port Authority Office of Class I Panjang Port, Budi Prasetio as Acting Executive Director of Pelindo Regional 2, Purwadi as Department Head of Pelindo Multipurpose Terminal, Hardianto as General Manager of Panjang Branch of Pelindo Regional 2 as well as the Board of Directors and Management of IPC TPK.

This Integrated Planning & Control overhaul   is designed to strengthen operational service control, optimize vessel berthing schedules, and enhance data-driven decision-making. All of these initiatives align with IPC TPK Area Panjang's commitment to synergize in providing reliable, standardized, and competitive port services.

"The beginning of the year is the right moment to strengthen operational fundamentals. The new look of  Integrated Planning & Control  demonstrates our commitment to service synergy at Panjang Port, fueling IPC TPK Panjang's renewed enthusiasm for providing increasingly professional, measurable, and performance-oriented services," said Anang Subagyono, Manager of IPC TPK Panjang Area.

This transformation step aligns with the positive performance of IPC TPK Panjang throughout 2025. Based on operational data, realized container throughput (TEUs) in 2025 was recorded at 33.65%. This achievement demonstrates consistent throughput growth compared to 2024 and reflects the effectiveness of terminal operational management.

This performance improvement was also supported by growth in container volumes across a number of services, both international and domestic. In international services, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) recorded significant growth of 74%  year-on-year . Meanwhile, in domestic services, positive performance was seen in Sukses Sindo Damai, which saw an 83% increase, Tresnamuda Sejati (36% increase), and CMA CGM, which saw 4% growth compared to the previous year.

In addition to regular growth, throughout 2025 IPC TPK Panjang also served 16  additional ship calls  (Ad Hoc) which made a real contribution to the growth of  terminal throughput .

IPC TPK Panjang management believes that updating  the Planning & Control function  is a crucial foundation for maintaining this growth momentum. With increasingly standardized planning and control systems, operational processes are expected to become more efficient, service times shorter, and terminal productivity to continue to increase.

"This Integrated Planning & Control  update   is part of IPC TPK Panjang's commitment to standardizing terminal facilities and services. We want to ensure that the entire operational planning and control process is more measurable, responsive, and efficient. With this foundation, we are optimistic that future performance will continue to grow and service to our customers will become more reliable," Anang concluded.

Looking ahead, IPC TPK Panjang is optimistic that this transformation will strengthen the terminal's competitiveness, maintain customer trust, and support the achievement of the company's performance targets in a sustainable manner.
