IPC TPK Prepares Anticipatory Measures and Ensures Normal Services During Christmas and New Year

JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, ensures that container loading and unloading services will continue to operate normally ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays. A number of anticipatory measures have been prepared to deal with the potential surge in goods flow and weather dynamics at the end of the year, in order to maintain the smooth flow of logistics and quality of service to service users.

IPC TPK Corporate Secretary & External Relations, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that all IPC TPK work areas will remain operational during the Christmas and New Year period. "We ensure that loading and unloading activities and terminal services are running normally to maintain the smooth flow of national logistics during the Christmas and New Year holidays," she said.

To maintain operational continuity, IPC TPK has prepared regulatory measures, including checking the readiness of loading and unloading equipment, strengthening human resource readiness, and regulating traffic inside and outside the terminal. IPC TPK also ensures that the Yard Occupancy Ratio (YOR) remains well-managed.

IPC TPK also supports the government's policy of restricting the flow of goods ahead of the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday season. Management ensures that the YOR (York-Return Order) regulations are implemented in accordance with the provisions set by shareholders, ensuring efficient loading and unloading activities without causing a buildup of goods at the terminal.

Anticipating weather dynamics during the rainy season, IPC TPK strengthens the implementation of work safety procedures through regular weather monitoring, regulating equipment operations under certain conditions, increasing safety supervision in the field, and intensively checking equipment reliability.

IPC TPK also conducts intensive coordination with port stakeholders—such as the Port Authority Office, Harbormaster, Tanjung Priok Port Police, and other related agencies—to ensure smooth vehicle movement and logistics distribution during the Christmas and New Year period.

"We are committed to maintaining operational performance standards and ensuring that all loading and unloading activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established regulations. Synergy with all parties at the port is key to maintaining the smooth flow of national logistics," Pramestie concluded.
