JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News)
- PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) continues to optimize its operational services to achieve the target in 2025. By focusing on integrated services and utilizing the latest technology, PTP Nonpetikemas is optimistic that it can increase the throughput of goods flow. In addition, PTP Nonpetikemas also focuses on strategic partnerships and business expansion to pursue the 2025 target.

PTP Nonpetikemas has set a throughput target of 53.5 million tons/m3 in 2025. To achieve this target, the company has designed several strategic programs such as terminal modernization, strategic partnerships in the form of direct collaboration with cargo owners and logistics players, providing Port Management Service solutions, with integrated Planning & Control services of Pelindo Terminal Operating System Multipurpose (PTOS-M), and also focusing on HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment).

"Our 2025 target reflects a commitment to growth and excellence. We are confident that we can achieve the 2025 target through terminal modernization, business expansion, and strengthening partnerships with stevedoring entrepreneurs (PBM), as well as other strategic companies," said President Director of PTP Nonpetikemas, Indra Hidayat Sani, at the Relations Gathering Event with Tanjung Priok Port Journalists who are members of the Indonesian Maritime Journalists Forum Organization (FORWAMI) on Monday, February 24, 2025, in the Sunter area of North Jakarta.

Various strategic initiatives currently underway at PTP Nonpetikemas include the Port Terminalization Program involving branches in Palembang, Banten, Cirebon, Kijing, Jambi, and Pangkalbalam. Improvement of liquid bulk services at the Kijing Terminal, Pontianak, including the provision of loading and unloading equipment and piperack arrangement at the liquid bulk dock. Extension of cooperation on the operation of the Tersus/TUKS dock, operation of terminals for LNG, condensate, and fuel at strategic ports, such as Muara Sabak-Jambi Port, Sungai Lais Port, Palembang and other ports. Then, cooperation with cargo owners, shipping lines, and logistics companies, through active marketing. Improvement of liquid bulk services in Tanjung Priok Region 2, through cooperation on loading and unloading liquid bulk, as well as Ship-to-Ship and Shorebase projects that support efficiency in shipping and logistics between ships.

Previously, in the Forum Group Discussion (FGD) in the 2025 Non-Container PTP Management Forum last week, maritime logistics observer and academic from ITS (Surabaya Institute of Technology) Raja Oloan Saut Gurning, ST, M.Sc., Ph.D., CMarTech, said in his study on non-container port connectivity in Indonesia that high connectivity has the potential to improve the quality of trade and provide economic and business benefits.

To support this, it is necessary to implement a service and tariff bundling strategy to reduce logistics costs and increase the flexibility of goods distribution. Port connectivity also requires multimodal transportation as a step to efficiently distribute goods from and to the Port. PTP Nonpetikemas needs to implement this step to carry out its strategic role as a non-container terminal operator in Indonesia with integrated, competitive services, and to become a catalyst for the logistics ecosystem to drive regional economic growth.

"In the FGD of PTP Non-container with Prof. Saut, it is important for PTP Non-container to increase the target of wider customers. The market potential of PTP Non-container is very large, and with a wider reach, we hope to increase the market share of PTP Non-container," added Indra.

Standardization

PTP Nonpetikemas has successfully implemented standardization, systemization, and integration in all ports spread across 11 strategic areas in Indonesia, including Tanjung Priok, Banten, Panjang-Lampung, Bengkulu, Jambi, Teluk Bayur - West Sumatra, Palembang - South Sumatra, Cirebon, Pangkal Balam - Bangka Belitung, Pontianak, and Tanjung Pandan - Bangka Belitung with the implementation of PTOS-M which has proven successful in reducing port stay time by up to 33%.

Through the strategy that has been designed for 2025, PTP Nonpetikemas can optimize its potential to achieve the target. This step also strengthens its position as a leading non-container terminal operator in Indonesia.
