BANDUNG (ISL News) - Founder and CEO of Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI) Setijadi said that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) really need logistics system support to increase their productivity and competitiveness.
The logistics system is needed because of the problem of low economic scale due to the small volume of production and sales of each actor. MSME actors are also constrained by their capital and management capabilities, so they are unable to develop their own logistics system.
Logistics system support is needed by MSMEs to increase the efficiency of the flow of materials and goods, information, and money which will also have an impact on their productivity.
SCI appreciates the Indonesian Logistics Entrepreneurs Association (PPLI) which is increasingly active in establishing strategic partnerships with various associations related to MSMEs which aim to advance the national logistics industry and empower MSMEs.
The partnership was carried out by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which focuses on the management and distribution of MSME products through the cooperative business units of PPLI members, namely PT PPL Indonesia Express with the business brand PIX Express.
Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PPLI Dedi Haris said that PPLI has established partnerships with several associations related to MSMEs, including: the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (Perwira), the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWAPI), the Indonesian Fishermen Association (HNSI), GANAS XI (Online Marketer Group), the Indonesian Golden Generation (Gesid), and Export Village.
The strategic partnership is also proof of DPP PPLI's commitment to support the development and distribution of MSME products in Indonesia. Combining the strength of logistics and extensive distribution networks, PPLI hopes to help MSMEs reach a wider market and increase their competitiveness in the national and international arena.
Dedi said that local logistics economic synergy is the key to building national strength. Support for MSMEs, not only drives economic growth, but also creates jobs and improves people's welfare.
The development of MSMEs needs to involve related parties to support this program and together build a strong and sustainable logistics ecosystem for the progress of Indonesia.
