JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News) - IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK, a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP), launched the Port Safe application, a safety awareness monitoring system in the IPC TPK work environment. The launch of Port Safe is a form of company innovation in port activities in the context of digitalization towards Smart Port .
"We launched a website-based application to improve sterilization in the port work area. The presence of Port Safe is expected to realize zero accidents , improve security and comfort in operational activities in the terminal area and increase terminal productivity." said Guna Mulyana, President Director of IPC TPK.
The launch and socialization of Port Safe was carried out at the second QHSSE Forum in 2024. The QHSSE Forum is a forum for communication and discussion between IPC TPK management and stakeholders regarding the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects at the port. Taking place at the Indonesian Maritime Museum, the event was attended by the Board of Directors and Management of IPC TPK, representatives from the Association, representatives from partners of Stevedoring Companies, representatives from service users and representatives from Stevedoring Workers (TKBM) in the IPC TPK Tanjung Priok environment.
This Port Safe application is a tool to increase worker awareness regarding Safety Awareness , sterilization of the IPC TPK container terminal area and to monitor all stakeholder activities entering or leaving or to the container terminal managed by IPC TPK. Currently, the implementation is carried out at IPC TPK Tanjung Priok Area 2. The plan is that the implementation of Port Safe will be carried out gradually throughout the IPC TPK work area.
"Port Safe is an innovation resulting from IPC TPK's internal design that is implemented to increase the awareness of all port stakeholders in implementing K3 aspects in the IPC TPK work environment. Port Safe also maximizes the control center that regulates and controls the terminal from dangerous conditions ( unsafe, unhealthy & unsecure conditions )." concluded Guna.
Through the Port Safe application, security officers can immediately find out if there is a dangerous condition ( unsafe, unhealthy & unsecure condition ). The report will be sent in real time to the Safety Control team . The HSSE team can immediately monitor or escalate reports received via CCTV monitoring and can provide warnings directly in the field.
