JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News) – With the end of the Lebaran Iedul Fitri 1445 Hijriah/2024 Masehi, the Tanjung Priok Main Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Office together with Government Agencies and Tanjung Priok Stakeholders successfully organized the 2024 Lebaran Iedul Fitri Sea Transport.
In this implementation, there has been a significant increase in the number of passengers by 9.71% compared to the previous period, with a total of 58,022 passengers passing through Tanjung Priok Port. The number of ships arriving and departing decreased by -2.00%, reaching 98 ships compared to 2023.
The peak rise and fall of passengers occurred before Iedul Fitri on March 28 2024, and after Eid on April 22 2024, showing the high mobility of people in celebrating the holiday.
However, there is a potential for 17% of passengers still in Jakarta after the flow returns, as many as 2,483 people. Returning to Jakarta on the return flow experienced an increase of 1.7% compared to the return flow.
In his address to the closing ceremony for the 2024 Iedul Fitri sea transportation, the Head of the Tanjung Priok Main KSOP Office, M. Takwim Masuku, said "We would like to thank the agencies and stakeholders involved in organizing the 2024 Eid sea transportation, for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of sea transportation and also "To all parties involved in organizing Eid sea transportation, so that the Eid homecoming and return flows run smoothly, safely and comfortably," he added.
