MEDAN (ISL News) - PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI) LR1 Medan successfully carried out the "Clean Friday" community service activity centered in the Perawang Depot Operational area on Friday, September 11, 2026.
This activity involved all levels of management and operational staff with the main focus on arranging environmental cleanliness, cleaning water channels, and spraying disinfectants/pesticides around the depot area.
Initiated by the Assistant Manager of the Perawang Depot Operational Area, this clean-up action is a routine agenda that aims to maintain Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (K3L) standards in the container depot area. Through this activity, MTI LR1 Medan is committed to creating a work environment that is not only neat and comfortable, but also hygienic to support daily operational productivity and the health of workers.
"A clean work environment is the main foundation in providing excellent and safe logistics services. Through this Clean Friday action, we want to ensure that the Perawang Depot is always in a sterile condition, neatly arranged, and meets strict K3 standards," said the Assistant Manager of the Perawang Operations Area.
In this activity, employees seemed enthusiastic about cleaning up organic and non-organic waste, tidying up piles of material around the containers, and cleaning drainage channels to anticipate waterlogging. In addition, spraying was also carried out on the surrounding area to prevent mosquito breeding and maintain the overall hygiene of the depot environment.
PT MTI LR1 Medan hopes that this activity can continue to increase collective awareness of all company employees about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness in a sustainable manner, so as to create a safe, healthy, and harmonious work atmosphere.
