JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) has again achieved an achievement in the field of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) by winning the TJSL & CSR Award 2026 for State-Owned Enterprise Subsidiaries in the Gold Category through the Fishermen Empowerment program "Development of Soka Crab Cultivation Groups" on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at the Bidakara Hotel Jakarta.
This year's TJSL & CSR Award 2026 carries the theme "TJSL Transition Towards ESG Rating and Creating Shared Value," reflecting the transformation of TJSL practices as part of a sustainable business strategy. Currently, TJSL implementation is not only focused on implementing social programs but has become a strategic instrument in strengthening corporate sustainability, enhancing corporate reputation, and strengthening investor confidence.
This aligns with PT Terminal Teluk Lamong's CSR (Environmental, Social, and Environmental) mission, which supports ESG implementation and consistently strives to create shared value for the company and the community. This is reflected in TTL's CSR programs, which consistently prioritize community empowerment and sustainability.
"This award is a form of appreciation for the efforts of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong and its stakeholders in presenting a TJSL program that provides real benefits to the community. The program, which aims to empower fishermen through the Development of Soka Crab Cultivation Groups, emerged from the company's social mapping of communities in seven sub-districts within the Ring 1 area surrounding TTL's operational area. The mapping identified several strategic issues facing coastal communities, including the reduction in fishing grounds due to port development and reduced community access to coastal resources that have historically been a source of livelihood.
"Through this social mapping, we strive to ensure that each CSR program is designed based on the real needs of the community. Developing soft-shell crab cultivation is one alternative livelihood solution that is more productive, adaptive, and sustainable. We hope this program will improve the welfare of coastal communities while strengthening harmonious relationships between the company and the surrounding community," Dahlia added.
This empowerment program not only focuses on increasing community income but also encourages capacity building for fishermen groups through mentoring, improving cultivation skills, developing group institutions, and creating opportunities to increase the added value of fishery commodities. With this approach, PT Terminal Teluk Lamong strives to create sustainable economic benefits while supporting coastal ecosystem preservation.
