JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) has once again achieved success in the field of corporate communications by winning two awards at the 2026 Indonesia Public Relations Summit held by The Iconomics Media in collaboration with Axia Research at the Dhanapala Building, Jakarta (6/8). PTP Nonpetikemas received the 2026 PR Popular Companies Awards in the Port Operation category, while Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary of PTP Nonpetikemas, Fiona Sari Utami, received the 2026 Popular PR Person Awards.

The 2026 Indonesia Public Relations Summit, themed "Empathic Communication: Narrative and Strategy," features leaders, communication experts, academics, and public relations practitioners from various sectors. This forum provides a strategic platform to discuss developments in corporate communications amidst business dynamics and the need to strengthen relationships with the public and stakeholders.

The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Mu'ti, M.Ed, in his remarks emphasized the importance of communication as a bridge between the government, the business world, and the community in building public trust.

"Forums like this are important because they bring together the government, business community, and various stakeholders to strengthen communication. Good communication will help avoid public misunderstandings, strengthen trust, and encourage more effective collaboration in development," said Abdul Mu'ti.

On the same occasion, Founder & CEO of The Iconomics Media, Bram S. Putro, explained that the award given at the 2026 Indonesia Public Relations Summit was a form of appreciation for companies and communication practitioners who were able to build reputation, influence, and impactful communication.

"The 2026 PR Popular Companies Awards are awarded to companies with strong reputations based on assessments of Business & Commercial Reputation, People & Leadership Reputation, and Social & Citizenship Reputation. Meanwhile, the 2026 Popular PR Person Awards are awarded to public relations practitioners who demonstrate excellence in exposure, influence, and creativity—the ability to build recognition, influence public opinion, and deliver innovative communication approaches," Bram said.

President Director of PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, Indra Hidayat Sani, said that this award is the result of the company's commitment to building open, adaptive communication that is oriented towards creating value for stakeholders.

"Corporate communications plays a strategic role in supporting company transformation and strengthening public trust. We continue to strive for improvement by strengthening human resource capacity, internalizing communications as a foundation of corporate culture, and strengthening operational and commercial services. This award motivates us as part of the Pelindo Group to continue delivering relevant, credible communications that positively impact the community and the port ecosystem," said Indra.

On the same occasion, Fiona Sari Utami said that the award was the result of the collective work of the company's communications team in strengthening external and internal communications.

"We continue to strive to design various programs relevant to the company's business and targets through innovation. Just last week, we completed one of the programs in the PTP Non-container PortPress 2026 national journalism competition series, with the active participation of national and regional media. Furthermore, as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), last year we conducted intensive port operations training for students in West Kalimantan, who successfully developed innovative designs for port operations. Our evolving communication strategy encourages us to continue learning, adapting, and building open communication with all stakeholders. We hope that this communication will also have a real impact," said Fiona.

This achievement reflects PTP Nonpetikemas' ongoing efforts to develop communications that support business transformation, strengthen collaboration with stakeholders, and enhance trust in port services. In line with Pelindo Group's transformation, the company continues to strengthen its communications strategy that promotes transparency, connectivity, and added value for customers, business partners, the community, and its employees.

As a non-container terminal operator, PTP Nonpetikemas manages port services across 11 branches and shore bases across Indonesia.
