"The relocation of these two floating facilities is carried out to support the development of the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub without disrupting the reliability of the electricity supply in Bali. The development of the tourism and energy sectors must go hand in hand to provide optimal benefits for the community and the regional economy," said Fariz.
PT Pelindo Marine Service's Commercial, Operations and Engineering Director, Elvin Syah Putra, said the successful relocation of the FRU and FSRU was supported by the synergy of all parties and the tugboat fleet KT Jayanegara 303, KT Bima 324, and KT Bima 315. "The Lumbung Dewata FRU is a vital part of Bali's energy supply chain. This relocation ensures the facility continues to operate optimally while supporting the development of the Benoa area as a modern maritime tourism center," said Jeffry.
The relocation of the FRU and FSRU demonstrates that the development of a modern tourism area can align with the energy needs that underpin community activities and the tourism industry on the Island of the Gods. The synergy between Pelindo Marine, PT Pelindo Energi Logistik, and the PLN Group demonstrates a shared commitment to supporting strategic infrastructure development, the green energy transition, and Bali's development as a world-class maritime destination.
