MAKASSAR (ISL News, February 23, 2026) – PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM) as one of the subholdings of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which operates in the fields of Marine, Equipment, Port Services, Dredging and Shipyard (MEPS) through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program in the form of distributing donations to mosques located around the waters of the Mahakam River, Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
This donation is part of the company's commitment to contribute to sustainable economic development, while improving the quality of life of the community and the environment around SPJM's operational areas. On this occasion, SPJM distributed donations to 7 (seven) mosques, including: Nurul Batuah Mosque, Asy Syuhada Jami Mosque, Langgar Jami Batuah, Al Anshor Mosque, Darun Ni'mah Mosque, Al-Muhajirin Mosque, and Al Hijrah Mosque. Each mosque received financial assistance of IDR 8 million.
This assistance was handed over on February 23, 2026 by Tubagus Patrick as SVP Corporate Secretary of SPJM and received directly by representatives of the management of each mosque.
This Ramadan, we are once again implementing several charitable programs, one of which is donating to mosques. This year, we have chosen Samarinda, East Kalimantan, as the location. We hope that these donations will be used to improve mosque facilities, facilitate worship services, including congregational prayers, tarawih prayers, Ramadan studies, and assist with social programs such as aid to the poor or donations to local communities in need," said Tubagus Patrick, SVP of Corporate Secretary of SPJM.
Nurul Batuah Mosque administrator, Hj Sahrani HS, expressed her appreciation for SPJM's concern for the needs of worship facilities at the mosque. "On behalf of the Nurul Batuah Mosque administrators in Loa Buah, Sungai Kunjang District, Samarinda, I express my deepest gratitude to Pelindo Jasa Maritim for the assistance provided. We hope that this assistance can be utilized optimally to improve services to the congregation. We also pray that Pelindo Jasa Maritim will always be given ease, health, and blessings in carrying out its activities."
In addition to donations to places of worship, SPJM, along with all Pelindo Group entities, will also implement several annual Pelindo Berbagi Ramadhan programs, including distributing basic food packages, providing assistance to orphanages, and sharing takjil (breaking fasts). The Pelindo Berbagi Ramadhan program is expected to increase the company's value in the community, enhance social awareness, strengthen bonds of brotherhood, and ease the burden on those in need.
"As a business entity, in addition to focusing on compliance and support for regulatory policies related to the implementation of operational activities for under-bridge guidance through the provision of superior service quality, especially in the Mahakam River waters, which will of course be evaluated periodically with related agencies, SPJM also aligns the company's targets to support sustainable economic development through the company's strategic TJSL program that has a direct impact on the surrounding community," concluded Tubagus Patrick.
