JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - The Vehicle Terminal is one of the important components of the entire port ecosystem which is the core business of Pelindo, especially in ensuring the flow of exports and imports of automotive commodities, trucks, buses, heavy equipment and general parts for large-scale manufacturing industries so that they can run well and smoothly.
PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX:IPCC) is present and ensures that service users receive the best service supported by a reliable operating system and in accordance with global standard SLA/SLG.
IPCC in navigating 2024 has planned various transformations in the operational field, especially in standardization and systemization in the Jakarta Terminal International Branch work area, which has been recorded as having successfully completed 91.7% of the total target and we can feel it together in the Company's overall performance. IPCC's Director of Operations and Engineering, Bagus Dwipoyono said "The achievement of operational performance exceeds the set target, obtained from the fulfillment of transformation in 6 (six) main pillars, namely: business processes, infrastructure and facilities, superstructure and equipment, HR and organization, general and HSSE and Technology."
Specifically for the technology sector, IPCC collaborates with Pelindo Group's subsidiary (ILCS) in creating the latest operational service application, namely PTOS-C, by presenting a cloud-based operational service system that is integrated with all other operational support applications and is able to connect with stakeholder applications (Customs) and service users (automakers and logistics).
Bagus added that in the transformation process, the Company has made various improvements in various aspects, starting from infrastructure and facilities, operating patterns, HSSE to improving the quality of human resources through certified training.
In detail, Bagus outlined the transformation milestones at the IPCC, which consist of:
a. Infrastructure repair work (repair of meter cades, markings, signs and safety nets), repair of field B, main road access, field O;
b. Addition of CCTV at the Pier and Fields A and E;
c. Addition of Access Points in Parking Buildings and Warehouses;
d. Increased HSE patrol time and facilities;
e. Shift & Safety Briefings are routinely conducted at each work shift change;
f. Provision of Handheld Terminals; and,
g. Smart & Safety Driving Training and SIO (Operation Permit) Updates to the operational team.
In ensuring security, smoothness and risk mitigation of potential accidents in the work area in accordance with the provisions of the ISPS Code, IPCC has made improvements to the HSSE aspect, especially safety, such as optimizing terminal sterilization by implementing one gate access and single identity to ensure that only individuals who are interested and registered in the system can enter the terminal area. Safety Patrol on every work shift, joint patrols with law enforcement agencies as an effort to prevent criminal acts from both land and sea sides, routine Management Walkthroughs and implementation of the Terminal Safety Management program.
"Next, Management needs to perfect the transformation program and achievements that have been carried out as part of the continuous improvement culture to provide the best service for all IPCC service users," said Bagus. The follow-up plans that will be implemented by IPCC in 2025 are:
a. Conduct FGD (focus group discussions) with stakeholders (Customs & Excise) periodically;
b. Development of PTOS-C on international terminal & SIT Integration with Car Maker;
c. Handheld Terminal Setup; and,
d. Familiarization of the transformation to service users.
"All the transformations that we have carried out for a full year in 2024 are a manifestation of the Company's commitment to providing the best service for service users and ensuring that what investors have entrusted to us through share ownership will provide added value that ultimately supports the national economy," concluded Bagus.
