JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News) - In a 10-year journey full of innovation and achievement, PTP Nonpetikemas, part of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), celebrates a decade of contributing to the regional economy by transforming and seeking new markets. Various transformations have been carried out, one of which is from the technological side with the PTOS-M (Pelindo Terminal Operating System-Multipurpose) system which provides faster and standardized services for customers.
President Director of PTP Nonpetikemas, Indra Hidayat Sani, appreciated the performance of all employees and encouraged them to continue to be enthusiastic in realizing the company's vision together.
"Thank you for the achievements that PTP Nonpetikemas has made in this decade and the transformation has become the foundation for the company to carry out wider expansion throughout Indonesia," said Indra.
This belief was also conveyed by the Main Commissioner of PTP Nonpetikemas Prakosa Hadi T.
"The transformation at PTP Nonpetikemas can certainly drive the company's progress and has great potential to strengthen business development in various regions. PTP Nonpetikemas management continues to be committed to developing the company so that it can realize the common goal of beyond terminal," said Prakosa Hadi T.
Since its establishment on July 10, 2013, PTP Nonpetikemas has continued to experience significant changes. After obtaining a permit as a Port Business Entity on November 1, 2014, PTP Nonpetikemas focused on ship, goods, and other services. In 2018 to 2021, the company with its multipurpose service business segment now has 11 strategic ports throughout Indonesia.
PTP Nonpetikemas manages various types of commodities in the ports it manages. Like in Tanjung Priok Port, for example, the dominant commodities handled include dry bulk such as sand, cement, sugar and general cargo such as rice, gypsum, plywood, steel coils, heavy equipment, and others. In Teluk Bayur Port, West Sumatra, PTP Nonpetikemas handles superior commodities in the form of liquid bulk such as CPO, fertilizer, and corn for dry bulk commodities, as well as other general cargo.
Kijing Port in West Kalimantan and Panjang Port in Lampung also serve various types of commodities. Panjang Port, superior commodities in the form of agricultural products around the Lampung hinterland such as fertilizer, soybeans, palm oil, and other agricultural products, for liquid bulk such as CPO, POME, and other palm derivatives and general cargo such as train cars, piles, and other heavy equipment. And Ciwandan Port in Banten, the handling of commodities is dominated by foodstuffs such as wheat, besides coal, nickel ore and others, for liquid bulk in the form of liquid asphalt, HSD, methanol, and other chemicals, and general cargo handled includes heavy equipment and steel structures.
PTP Nonpetikemas continues to improve efficiency by reducing port stay time, which is the duration of time a ship is in port. Through the implementation of technology and optimization of operational flows, port stay can be significantly reduced, thereby maximizing port productivity and minimizing ship waiting time.
In each branch, the implementation of the Pelindo Terminal Operating System- Multipurpose (PTOS-M) system provides convenience in monitoring ship movements, loading and unloading, to the efficiency of logistics flows. This also has a positive impact on reducing operational costs for users and supporting work safety targets by reducing operational risks.
The year 2022 marks an important milestone for the company with the restructuring of the majority shareholder and a new logo, as a symbol of the spirit to become a leader in the non-container terminal industry in Indonesia. PTP Nonpetikemas has implemented various transformations and standardization of service quality in six main pillars, namely business processes, technology, HSSE, infrastructure, equipment, and HR. In the field of business processes, these changes include increasing operational efficiency. Infrastructure is also strengthened for work safety with a target of zero fatality / HSSE.
In 2024, PTP Nonpetikemas achieved various achievements such as supporting the government program in the Discovery Giant Well in the Andaman WK, creating reliable operational human resources, supporting the National Strategic Project (PSN) in loading and unloading smelter grade alumina in Kijing, and expanding shorebase activities in various regions in Indonesia.
As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, PTP Nonpetikemas launched the PTP Peduli Sosial program by providing assistance to 360 orphans in all branches, involving the active role of employees in Employee Social Responsibility (ESR). This program shows the company's concern for the surrounding community as a form of PTP Nonpetikemas' real contribution to the nation. With the theme "Transformation Beyond Terminal", PTP Nonpetikemas is committed to continuously improving the quality of service and contributing to the national economy.
