JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo continues to strengthen its commitment to implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) through collaboration with the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administrative Affairs (Jamdatun) of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia.
The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out by the President Director of Pelindo, Arif Suhartono accompanied by the Deputy President Director of Pelindo, Hambra with Jamdatun Dr. R. Narendra Jatna, SH, LL.M. who was accompanied by the Secretary of Jamdatun, Edy Birton and witnessed by the President Commissioner of Pelindo, Agus Suhartono and the Board of Commissioners of Pelindo, Sudung Situmorang on November 18, 2024 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel Jakarta.
"We are committed to always running every aspect of the business with high integrity, guided by the provisions and good corporate governance," said Arif in his speech.
On that occasion, Arif also expressed his appreciation for the support and assistance from Jamdatun and the ranks of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia that have been carried out so far regarding matters that need to be improved in the processes carried out since the preparation of the merger, the implementation of the merger to post-merger to ensure that the entire process can run well according to the provisions.
Meanwhile, Narendra in his speech expressed his gratitude for the trust that has been given to Jamdatun so far. "The cooperation, synergy that has existed so far, hopefully can continue in the future," said Narendra.
This collaboration is carried out to strengthen corporate governance, through the provision of legal assistance, considerations and other legal actions from Jamdatun. Thus, all actions and/or corporate actions of Pelindo can run in accordance with applicable provisions, especially in handling legal issues in the civil and state administration fields.
On the same occasion, Narendra also became a resource person at the Sharing Session related to Business Judgement Rule and Personal Data Protection, which was attended by Commissioners and Directors of Pelindo, Subholding Directors, Directors of Subsidiaries/Affiliates, Group Heads, and Executive Directors within the Pelindo Group. Narendra discussed a lot about legal compliance, risk mitigation of legal issues, and the importance of maintaining data security as a legal obligation to maintain the trust of service users.
