CILEGON BANTEN (ISL News) - Pelindo Regional 2 Banten held a consolidation event and media gathering with the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and the Cilegon Journalists Community at the Cianjur Chicken Restaurant, Tuesday (11/12/2024).
In his speech, Joko said that synergy with the media is very important in the digital era filled with technological advances such as AI. PT Pelindo Regional 2 Banten hopes that this activity will further enhance the relationship between management and journalists in the city of Cilegon who are members of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and the Cilegon Journalists Community. This gathering and Media Gathering is a form of commitment from the management of PT Pelindo Regional 2 Banten to the principles of Good Corporate Governance, especially in public communication.
"This is the second year of the event. We realize that journalists are an important pillar in the dissemination of accurate and responsible information. We hope that this event will provide a new perspective to face the challenges of journalism in the digital era," explained Joko.
Highlighting the importance of the role of journalists in the Industry 4.0 era. According to him, technological developments bring opportunities as well as challenges in maintaining the independence and validity of information.
"We really appreciate the input from journalists in building quality communication, not just delivering information, but also important partners in building a better and stronger company," he concluded.
Chairman of PWI Cilegon City, Ahmad Fauzi Chan appreciated the media gathering activity. In the current era of press freedom, synergy is very important as one of the steps of mutual control and balance.
