MEDAN NORTH SUMATERA (ISL News) - The commitment of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT), a Subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) in the Indonesian multipurpose sector, to continue to innovate and adapt to increasingly dynamic industrial developments which are also a continuation of the company's innovation program, has held the PIX (Pelindo Multi Terminal Innovation Xperience) 2024 program.
PIX is one of SPMT's flagship programs in order to stimulate creative ideas from its employees, with the aim of producing innovations that have an impact on improving performance in each of the company's work areas. This competition is open to all workers in 31 SPMT operational work areas.
"This innovation program is a real manifestation of SPMT's commitment to continue to innovate and adapt to increasingly dynamic industrial developments which are expected to have an impact on more effective and efficient business processes, reduce operational costs, increase productivity, and create new opportunities that can contribute significantly to SPMT's economic growth and sustainability," said SPMT's HR Director, Edi Priyanto.
In the process, 46 innovation ideas initiated by SPMT employees were collected, which were then subjected to initial selection, resulting in 16 innovation ideas being selected, which were then given training and assistance in developing the works. From these results, 6 of the best innovation ideas were selected, which then proceeded to the Final Pitching stage, namely the judging carried out by the SPMT Board of Directors.
The winners of the PIX 2024 program are the Portable Team which created a connectivity and integration system between ports as the first winner, followed by the Kelinci Team which presented an efficiency solution in the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) loading process through the Truck Losing method in second place, and the Trigatra Team which developed a digitalization system to support the Integrated Management System as the third winner.
"Through this innovation program, it is expected to increase the awareness of all employees towards the challenges being faced, in order to increase the company's competitiveness in a dynamic business, and come out with a solution that has a value that is beneficial to the interests of the company, of course a good innovation idea is an innovation that can be implemented by fulfilling the principles of effectiveness and efficiency, where in the end it can produce significant output," added SVP Corporate Secretary of SPMT, Finan Syaifullah.
