IPC TPK Continues to Grow, OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE at the Beginning of Q4 Increases

JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) -
 The operational performance of IPC Container Terminal/IPC TPK continues to record an increase in the fourth quarter of 2024. The operational performance achievement of 10 IPC TPK terminals in October was 304,435 TEUs, an increase of 16.7% compared to the same period in the previous year of 260,714 TEUs. This increase is marked by the growth of domestic container flows in several areas such as Pontianak, Teluk Bayur and Jambi as well as the presence of additional services on the new shipping line fleet in the Tanjung Priok area.


Pramesti Wulandary, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK, said that IPC TPK is carrying out a transformation from the operational side to ensure readiness in responding to the needs of service users and as an anticipatory measure for the surge in the flow of goods and additional services.


The total loading and unloading performance of IPC TPK until October 2024 was 2,604,740 TEUs, an increase of 7.91% compared to the same period in the previous year of 2,413,783 TEUs. The increase in loading and unloading performance in October was in line with the increase in demand for several commodities in several working areas.


The increase in container flow was due to the increase in demand for several commodities such as  flour ,  ceramics  and  foodstuff  in the Jambi area. For the Pontianak area, the growth in container flow by domestic shipping in Pontianak. The increase in container flow in the Teluk Bayur area occurred due to the increase in  rubber commodities  and the increase in the volume of full containers. Not only that, the increase also occurred in the Tanjung Priok Area due to the addition of a new fleet from one of the shipping companies which had an impact on the increase in container flow.


IPC TPK seeks to support government programs that focus on increasing independence and efficiency. Optimization of sea lane infrastructure is expected to reduce logistics costs and strengthen the national logistics network through new policies and regulations to support a more efficient national industry.


"Towards the end of the year, we are optimistic that we can achieve the performance targets set by shareholders by prioritizing optimal and efficient services to service users," concluded Pramestie.
