GRESIK (ISL News) - The Chinese Consul General (Consul General) in Surabaya visited the Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, East Java, on Monday (13/5). This visit was also attended by the Acting Governor of East Java Province, Adhy Karyono, and the Regent of Gresik Regency, Fandi Akhmad Yani.
The visit of the Chinese Consul General is a form of appreciation for JIIPE as a modern and sustainable industrial area, as well as emphasizing JIIPE's great potential in attracting investment from China. JIIPE, a mega project resulting from strategic collaboration between PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) and PT AKR Corporindo Tbk., offers modern facilities and infrastructure to support investment and industrial growth. With its strategic location and commitment to sustainability, JIIPE has attracted investment from several large Chinese companies, including Hailiang Group, the largest copper foil producer in Southeast Asia, and Xinyi Group, which is one of the leading glass product manufacturers.
Acting The Governor of East Java, Adhy Karyono, welcomed this visit. “We are very proud of the recognition of JIIPE. This area is not only the pride of East Java, but also a strategic national asset. "The provincial government will continue to support infrastructure development to facilitate access and accelerate investment growth," he said.
The Regent of Gresik, Fandi Akhmad Yani, added, "The regional government, in collaboration with the East Java Provincial Government, is committed to improving infrastructure, including building roads connecting directly to JIIPE, to support the growth of the area and attract more investors."
The Main Director of BKMS, Bambang Seotiono, as the manager of the JIIPE Industrial Area as well as the Gresik KEK Development and Management Business Entity (BUPP), expressed his gratitude for the visit of the Chinese Consul General. “We are very grateful for this visit. It is hoped that the visit of the Chinese Consul General will further strengthen JIIPE's position as a major investment destination and leading industrial center in Southeast Asia, as well as strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and China.
