JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok has again welcomed the Nippon Maru Ship carrying 330 selected young men and women/delegates from 11 countries, namely Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
For 5 days, 21 - 25 November 2024, the delegates carried out the "Country Program" which is one of the activities in the SSEAYP program carried out in Southeast Asian countries that are on the shipping route.
The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Dito Ariotedjo officially released the Nippon Maru Ship at Tanjung Priok Port.
One of the processions that is characteristic of every Nippon Maru release is Ribbon Throwing. Every delegate who goes up to the deck of the ship will throw a long colorful ribbon to the visitors of the closing ceremony who are the adoptive parents of the SSEAYP delegates in each country. While waving, the ribbon is still held until the Nippon Maru Ship leaves the port.
